Congratulations, Hennepin 5K participants!

The 2025 Hennepin County 5K events have come to a close, and HealthWorks would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make the events a success. This year, more than 528 employees took part, showing incredible enthusiasm and commitment to wellness and connection.
Building community through movement
From casual walkers to dedicated runners, employees across departments joined together to take part in the annual 5K events. Whether attending virtually or in person, participants found ways to connect with coworkers, recharge, and support one another.
In addition to moving for wellness, employees also gave back by donating non-perishable food and personal care items at all 5k events. These donations supported the NorthPoint Health & Wellness Community Food Shelf to help individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.
Accessible and fun
With multiple route options throughout Hennepin County, participants could choose the location most convenient for them. Shaded trails, scenic lakes, and open green spaces made each event feel like a refreshing break from the workday routine.
The 5K continues to be a cornerstone of the county’s commitment to employee well-being, encouraging physical activity, lowering stress, and promoting time in nature. Participants are also able to self-report wellness points for their involvement.
