Volunteers in the Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) support the overall values of Hennepin County by aligning their efforts with the county’s core principles of justice, community well-being, equity, and collaboration.

Donations
Donations are welcomed and directly benefit youth and adults experiencing homelessness, mental/physical disabilities and addiction challenges.
Items in most need are:
- Hygiene kits
- Toiletries
- Socks
- Shoes
- Blankets
Contact volunteering@hennepin.us to coordinate a donation pick-up or drop-off.
Special Gift Fund
Monetary donations are accepted to provide clients who are faced with a crisis or who have unique, emergent needs and where all other funding sources have been exhausted.
- All donations are 100% tax deductible (donation acknowledgements available upon request).
- All donations go to benefit clients - there are no administrative fees or overhead costs.
- No tax dollars are used for the Special Gift Fund — it is 100% supported by tax deductible donations.
The fund accepts checks payable to: Hennepin County Special Gift Fund. There is no online giving option.
