Hennepin County Public Works is looking to fill a variety of civil engineering positions to help support our growing team.  As the largest county in Minnesota by population, we are responsible for 2,200 lane miles of roadway, roughly 650 miles of bikeways, 380 miles of sidewalks, and 150 bridges.

Internship: Are you a student looking to gain hands-on professional experiences? These internship positions will be supporting multiple areas in our transportation department from design, planning, inspection, and construction. You will have the opportunity to learn about Public Works and Hennepin County as whole, including field visits, on-site job shadowing, conducting research, and assisting project managers.

  • Graduate Engineer: $63,084.38 - $94,626.57
  • Professional Engineer (PE): $76,679.45 - $115,019.18
  • Senior Professional Engineer (SPE): $84,539.10 - $126,808.65
  • Principal Professional Engineer (PPE): $93,204.36 – $139,806.53
