The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the Hennepin County Government Center—a cornerstone of civic life and service since 1975. For half a century, this iconic building has stood in downtown Minneapolis as a symbol of public service, housing a number of department offices, the Fourth District Court, and vital services that support the lives of Hennepin County residents every day.
The Government Center is more than just a structure of glass and steel—it’s a place where essential services are provided, marriages are celebrated, public health is protected, and community needs are met.
