The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) works to enhance community safety, promote community restoration, and reduce the risk of re‐offense. Department staff serve Hennepin County at more than 20 service locations ranging from correctional facilities to probation reporting offices and occupational training centers, delivering sustainable correctional services to more than 26,000 adult and juvenile clients. It is the largest community corrections organization in Minnesota.
The Juvenile Detention Center is a secure detention facility located a few blocks from the Hennepin County Government Center and houses up to 87 juveniles who are awaiting court disposition.
Correctional Officer, Juvenile (JCO)
Salary: $57,219.39 - $85,829.08 Annually
As a Juvenile Correctional Officer, you will oversee the safety and well-being, along with supervising the activities, of at-risk youth in a detention facility. The Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) is a state-licensed facility for juveniles ages 10 to 18+, for juveniles pending disposition of their court cases at the Juvenile Detention Center.
