Hennepin County Library – Homework Help

Homework Help is a free, drop-in tutoring program for students in Kindergarten–12th grades. Adult volunteers provide academic support in a welcoming environment after school, helping students strengthen subject knowledge, build confidence, and improve overall academic performance. 

In 2025, 203 volunteers delivered more than 8,340 tutoring sessions, serving over 1,500 youth across multiple subjects. One student shared, “The reason I passed English was because of the help you gave during the school year.” Now in high school, she reports doing well. 

Homework Help plays a vital role in reducing educational disparities and increasing graduation rates for youth in our community.
